Dear Parents and Guardians,
Your child has picked a LEGO player that will move along the football field as books are read this year. They have a reading logbook where they will record the books and pages they have read and watch their LEGO player move towards a touchdown. After scoring a touchdown, they will see me for a prize and repeat the process to see how many touchdowns they can score. The logbook will be kept in their Home Folder so it can travel to and from school.
Over the course of the year, any reading your child does will move their LEGO player. Reading that happens at home, school, on the bus etc. counts towards this program. Any book is great and if your child is unsure, they can clarify with me. If your child reads the same book twice it can only be counted the first time it is read.
